I can't say enough good things about Charles and Sons Construction and Landscaping! They recently completed a retaining wall and a new front pathway at our home, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional and meticulous. I initially underestimated the complexity of the work, but watching them build the wall was truly impressive. Each cinder block was carefully laid and measured to ensure perfect leveling, and the veneer cuts were flawless. The pathway stones were cut with such precision that it transformed the entire look of our front yard. They not only brought our vision to life, but they also maintained a clean worksite every day, which I greatly appreciated. The crew was respectful and considerate of our neighbors and our property, which speaks volumes about their professionalism. To top it all off, they even went above and beyond by helping us remove old stones without being asked. It's rare to find a team that genuinely cares about their work and their clients. Charles and Sons did an absolutely fantastic job on our backyard project. I can't believe how efficiently the crew put together our 2 patios, retaining wall, steps, and drainage solutions. I had a great experience working with Charles and Son Construction. When we bought our home, the backyard was completely overgrown and without any landscaping. I struggled to find anyone willing to take on this project; there was a lot of work. But as I met Carlos, things started moving. After we discussed what we'd like to do, his company created a 3d render of our plan (without extra charges). Then, when everything was agreed upon and ready, his people started working, and everything was built in about 3 weeks; they removed all overgrowth and the old fence, leveled the ground, built a patio and deck with a custom enclosure for a cat under it, made an irrigation system, installed a new fence,  lights, stepping stones, and a stone river. All of this was done in December; then, before spring, we added greenery to our plan. We wanted the majority of the plants to be native to this area, and Carlos and his team carefully picked the ones that can grow in our garden. Then they planted them in March, and since then we have been watching our beautiful garden change and evolve with new plants and an abundance of life. Working with Carlos was easy, as he cared for my feedback yet applied his expertise to suggest what would work best. We’re extremely happy with the transformation of our backyard. What was once an overgrown yard with a sinking fence is now a beautiful, functional space with a new fence and retaining walls. The difference is remarkable, and the finished project exceeded our expectations. Carlos and the crew were very professional, accommodating, and kept the work area clean throughout the job. Their pricing was fair, communication was great, and the quality of the work really shows. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality landscaping and hardscaping work. Charles and Sons redid our old and crumbling retaining wall and concrete patio. They did a phenomenal job in such in a  short time period. Came home from work one day to find a large section of my retaining wall tumbled over into my neighbor's yard.  The wall was originally built by the builder before we moved in mid 2004.  The wall started to lean slightly within 5 years as it was not built with drainage in mind.  This time around, I wanted the retaining wall built the right way.  I called Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping to get an estimate because I prefer someone local and was pleased with their online reviews. Carlos arrived as scheduled to write up the estimate.  He immediately suggested re-using the blocks since they seemed to be in decent condition and would save money.  I met with another company the day prior and was originally planning on getting a 3rd estimate.  After getting Carlos' very reasonable estimate and asking a few question regarding timeline, I approved the estimate and was ready to move forward.  Just 3 days later, the work started and was finished just 4 days later with a Sunday and a rainy Monday that was a wash out.  I was so pleased since this has been on my todo list for the last several years and relieved to have it done correctly.  My neighbor was also pleased to get part of his yard back. I highly recommend Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping for any outdoor project.  You won't be disappointed. We wanted a wall in our backyard along the hill our house sits on, to both finish the the look of the backyard and serve as a path to make it easier to access our kayaks. We also wanted a set of stairs up the front of the hill to the back door. Once they got started, the crew finished the job in about 4 days, even with some modifications along the way. The end result is functional and beautiful! We found Charles & Son through a neighbor's recommendation and now we hope to be able to recommend them to someone else. And we have a couple of other projects that we'll prioritize now that we've found the right team to handle them. Edit: We brought them back from another exterior wall and path project in the summer of '25. The new build is beautiful and seamlessly integrates with the work they did last year. Next spring we're going to bring them back to do our main walkway, and that will connect the terrific work they've done to the front of the house.
